Hey Dolls! My name is Nyasha Naome and I am a Zimbabwean fashion and beauty blogger based in Dubai.

Fours years ago after graduating from university, I found myself unemployed, depressed and lost. My life was falling to pieces and  I had no idea what to do.  Honestly, no one can ever prepare you for the reality of being unemployed. The crashing weight of helplessness and feeling like a failure, especially after the euphoric high of graduation.

So, to keep myself distracted I decided to do a little project that combined my love of fashion with my passion for storytelling and my life will never be the same again. I started Style Squad Zimbabwe as a temporary pit-stop, only to find a purpose, a story and a confidence I didn’t know existed.

Style Squad Zimbabwe is about seeing beauty and light within dark spaces and circumstances. I started out at my lowest point searching for anything and everything to hold on to, only to create a platform that provided me with a hope that let me know I’m beautiful and worthy even though I didn’t feel like it. I just want to spread this hope to everyone that reads my  blog.

I believe looking good is a vital ingredient to feeling amazing and my job is to help you connect the dots. Style Squad Zimbabwe is a collection of my fashion stories and experiences that I hope encourage and empower you to boldly express yourself.

Since starting the blog, I have connected with women from all over the world through my stories on the blog and in the real world through my work in luxury retail. I have collaborated with bloggers from Italy, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa and the motherland Zimbabwe. I have also been fortunate enough to work with exciting brands such as Unilever Gulf as a brand ambassador for Dove and Tresemme Arabia.
